Aden + Anais Swaddle Blankets

As your postpartum doula, we will certainly help you learn to swaddle your baby. Swaddling provides comfort, security and soothing to infants as they transition from womb to world. You can use any type of blanket that is big enough for swaddling, but I love the Aden + Anais ones because of the luxury muslin fabric. It feels so delicate against your skin when you are holding a swaddled baby. Our babies have the softest skin, and the softest fabric combined with the swaddling is sure to bring them joy and security.

MamaRoo

The Rolls Royce of motion generating swings. I can’t tell you how many babies I have seen go from crying to content in the MamaRoo. It has several different settings which include side to side, forward and back, circles, figure 8’s. And each of those settings has a wide range of speeds as well. The mobile that hangs over top of it lets me know that the designers have done their research, because they include black and white side (ideal for infant eye development) and the other side is in color. The MamaRoo is smooth sailing for a relaxed baby, which we all know means a relaxed family!

A Baby Carrier

There are times when you DO want to hold your baby, but let’s be honest, sometimes things just need to get done, too! This is when a baby carrier is so helpful. I offer personalized consultations on baby carriers so we can best determine which carrier is best for your needs. If I had to pick one to start with though, start with a Maya Ring Sling. The sling is soft and cushy enough that newborns love it, but it is sturdy enough that toddlers do well in it as well. Again, please call me if you’d like some personalized recommendations. There is no one size fits all for baby carriers, but the Maya Ring Sling is a great place to start.
